The Arlington Heights Park District is seeking community support to obtain an Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant for a major revitalization project at Centennial Park.
The $1.8 million initiative will enhance the park with the following upgrades:
- Updated fishing pier and overlook
- A new playground
- New outdoor fitness equipment
- A new shelter
- New game tables
- Improved ballfields
- Enhanced pathways and seating areas
We encourage community members to show their support by signing a petition. The grant application deadline is September 13, 2024. Each submission brings us one step closer to securing this essential funding!
