We are thrilled to share that Arlington Heights Park District’s community partnerships were recognized at IAPD’s Best of the Best Awards Gala. Jen Ortman of the Ortman Group with Berkshire Hathaway Stark and Ian Beamer with Guaranteed Rate received the Best Friend of Illinois Parks – Small Business Award for their years of exemplary sponsorship support of AHPD and the Arlington Heights Parks Foundation.
Jen Ortman and Ian Beamer’s partnership with the Park District began in early 2020, where they had a key role in the Trunk or Treat event. They generously donated bags, created a custom mini haunted house and provided goodie bags. Their sponsorship commitment deepened as they supported the Frontier Days 3v3 Soccer Tournament, Youth Triathlon and Park Foundation Pickleball Tournament and Golf Outing.
AHPD and the Arlington Heights Memorial Library received the Intergovernmental Cooperation Award for their valued partnership. This award recognizes park districts and units of government that have collaborated to success by forming intergovernmental agreements (IGAs) to maximize tax dollars and benefit residents throughout the community. In August 2024, three new IGAs were established consisting of Book Lockers at Camelot and Heritage Community Centers, a new 19-space parking lot for Recreation Park and the library’s Makerplace facility, and the first ever permanent Story Walk.
Thank you to our community, partners, and staff for building a stronger, more connected Arlington Heights!
