The Arlington Heights Historical Society was founded in 1957 by a group of citizens concerned with preserving their local heritage. To date, the Society is charge of overseeing over 50,000 artifacts. The Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization that strives to enrich people’s lives by connecting them to the past through inspiring programs, exhibits and stories. The Society fulfills its mission through memberships, donations, and sponsorships.
The mission of the Society shall be the collection, interpretation, preservation and presentation of information and objects concerning the history of Arlington Heights and its surrounding area.

The Arlington Heights Historical Society maintains collections of local artifacts and documents, presents historical exhibits to the public each year, is responsible for the restoration and interpretation of a five building complex and sponsors local historical events throughout the year. There are immediate and future openings available. Artifact Donations
The Society collects items relating to Arlington Heights history, items which can be used in the interpretation of its period houses and log cabin, and items that relate to its special collections (such as our Doll and Dollhouse collection). All items must be in good condition and have no restrictions applied to the gift. Valuation of the donation is the sole responsibility of the donor.
