Strength Low Impact Endurance For Youth Ages 9-13

Class Descriptions:

ARC a Diem A challenging full-body workout using rowers, indoor cycling bikes and TRX straps. Each workout will focus on strength, endurance and cardiorespiratory fitness.
Barre High energy, full-body workout with ballet-inspired techniques (no ballet experience needed!) to help develop lean muscle mass while improving balance, flexibility and range of motion.
Body Combat     A high-energy martial-inspired workout. It’s non-contact and there are no complex moves to master.
Body Pump         Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout that burns lots of calories.
Body Pump Express         Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP Express gives you a total body workout that burns lots of calories in a quick 45-minute workout. It’ll also tone and shape your body, without adding bulky muscles.
Indoor Cycling         Our indoor cycling class will focus on cardio challenges and hill climbs that are suited for all participant levels.
Restorative Yoga         Learn how to allow yourself to slow down, be supportive, pay attention, grow present, and become comfortable with “being” rather than our usual “doing”. This beginner level friendly class will focus on stretching, breathing and holding postures to help find relief from the stress of our busy lives.
Tabata     Complete 4-minute exercise sequences broken down into intervals of 20 seconds high intensity work followed by 10 seconds of rest.
WERQ           A fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock and hip-hop music.
Yoga Strength & Balance     A well-rounded class that promotes a balance between strength and flexibility.
Yoga Tone & Sculpt     Boost your metabolism and build lean muscle when you incorporate full body yoga flow movements with light weights and moves like lunges, squats and bicep curls.
Yoga Monday Mobility-Hipster           Start your week off with mobility and yoga. After a weekend road trip or hours of sitting in the bleachers watching youth spots you need to loosen up your hips and stretch out. Not just a “hip opener”, this class focuses on strengthening and stretching the muscles supporting the hips as well as strengthening the core and legs.
Zumba                  Latin-inspired dance fitness program that blends red hot international music and contagious dance steps.

Ken Winans

Biography: I am a former college football player who has been physically active since high school. I keep active by playing competitive basketball, golfing in season and strength and condition training 4 days a week.

Background/Experience: Through education, observation and daily practice I have created workouts that I consider foolproof. I really enjoy the initial consultation so I can get a feel for what is necessary for individual success. What I teach is simple to execute but it is not easy.

Certification: ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Focus: I want to train those who are serious about getting fit. I encourage those I train to pick a sport or activity. Strength and cardiovascular training is something we all HAVE to do; a sport or activity is something we WANT to do. My strength and cardio training sessions are built as 30-minute work outs and I also include 20 minutes of mobility/flexibility.

Philosophy: STRENGTH IS CONFIDENCE
